> - It's hardly any mind-blowing revelation to say that we put a lot of pressure on each other to be attractive, and it's fairly safe to say that the bulk of the that pressure gets unfairly heaped upon the fair sex. Modern tech, for all its marvels, has added to that pressure, as pointed out in any number of articles about the unrealistic expectations that can created by style and fashion periodicals digitally air-brushing the models featured in their pages. It's true that unrealistic expectations lead to dissatisfaction and disappointment, and that the pressures of society can certainly have those consequences. It's also true, though, that healthy dissatisfaction pushes us to make changes that, if approached carefully and maturely, we can be happy with. The operative word, there, is "healthy," and balance and maturity are keys to that.

Women who wish to enhance their appearance with liposuction, breast implants, or other cosmetic surgeries must ask questions that can be difficult to answer honestly, but are critical to that healthy balance. Surgery, after all, is serious business, and you have a much better chance of being happy with your results when you approach it with realistic expectations. Make qualification, capability, and your level of comfort with your doctor more important than price when selecting your surgeon, and make certain you're not doing it just to please someone else. If your intent is to improve upon what you have (for yourself), and you are willing to focus first on getting the job done right, a consultation with a cosmetic surgeon could be a truly positive thing.
